A real whopper of a trophy cup this, engraved as a Working Men's Club skittles award in 1929. The wooden plinth is very heavy (nearly 2.5kg) and has larger than average silver shields fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1928, of which only 2 are engraved. Made by Vaughtons of Birmingham. Gilt interior. Topped with a figural man bowling a skittle cheese. Overall height to top of figure is 64cm, height of cup itself from footrim to too of figure is 52cm. Diameter of cup is 20.5cm.
