Georgian Sterling Silver Hanoverian Straining Sifting Ladle - Crested (#57171)

Our Reference #: 57171

A George III pierced bowl ladle in Hanoverian pattern, rear of handle bearing a double crest of a stags head and a dog on a leash. Hallmarks are part rubbed but appear to be London 1816 partial hallmarks.

Condition: No dents, some surface marks and a slight 'line' to rear of handle at the top above the crested area - it is not a crack. There is a near invisible excellent historical repair to the stem about halfway down the handle that you would only realise if it was pointed out, just about visible as a very thin line front and back.
