James Dixon and Sons

A nice looking 24 piece set of fish eaters by James Dixon & Sons of Sheffield bearing a design registration number equating to 1891 (Rd No 175748). These are a good larger size than usual.

A good 3 piece set by James Dixon & Sons of Sheffield, the teapot engraved to one side to a Gwendoline (Elsey) Wright from her office friends on the occasion of her marriage Oct 1909'. Pot capacity is marked as '4' for 2 pints Larger sized sugar bowl, both bowl and jug have gilt washed interiors.

A late c.19th EPBM 3 piece, all pieces by Dixon but the jug is not quite the same design as the rest, still 'acceptable'. Teapot is marked as 4 cups (2 pints) capacity. Light gilt wash to interiors of milk jug and sugar bowl,

A fine looking tea pot by Dixon of 4 cups (2 pints) capacity. Nice double Greek Key bands to the ridged body and lovely lid finial etc.

A very nice looking antique 4 bottle cruet set by Dixon, nice deep hobnail cuts to the glass. Mustard spoon is a good Walker & Hall replacement.

A pair of tablespoons by James Dixon & Sons of Sheffield in Old English pattern. No monograms.

A silver gilt anointing spoon made for the Coronation of King George VI or Edward VIII, fully hallmarked for Sheffield 1936 maker James Dixon & Sons.

A really fine looking set by James Dixon & Sons of Sheffield in an unusual bespoke pattern, kind of a cross between Gadroon & Louis XVI is best I can describe it. Not come across it before. 8 settings of dinner fork, dinner knife, side/dessert fork, side/dessert knife, dessert spoon, soup spoon, tea spoon + 4x table spoons, 2x large sauce ladles and 3 piece meat servers. Total of 65 pieces.

A really fine looking set with Reed & Ribbon decoration, repeated to the entire height of the handle. Made by James Dixon & Sons of Sheffield.

A good silver plated castor by James Dixon & Sons, a slightly odd mix of deco style with a touch of Georgian!
