A large early c.20th empty canteen with 2 pull out drawers, would fit Old English pattern etc or stripping down to make a large jewellery box or similar.
Condition: Some cosmetic loss and damage to the edge beading to the base and a small hole to top middle of the drawer separator - it looks to have been caused be somebody trying to open the drawers without understanding that you cant do that without opening the lid first! - you can also see some slight cosmetic damage to the inside edges of the drawer fronts from this where the locking bolt descends thru. Slight scuffing around the brass cartouche which may have been replaced. The interior baize is quite shabby and worn. No key.
