Our Reference #: 54018
An Old Sheffield Plate cruet set, the 2 pepper pots having sterling silver lids partially hallmarked for Birmingham 1840. The mustard pot is unusually all glass and without a spoon slot. Underside of the stand is tinned.
Condition: Stand is overall gleaming silver with some general surface marks and slight wear. Handle has some historical resoldering to top and where it meets the stem but it isn't immediately obvious. Glassware is generally good with some minor fleabiting to collars etc. Silver lids fit nicely. Some chipping to ends of stoppers, the small bottles stopper would have probably had a cayenne spoon attached. One stopper is a replacement with a different style of cut. Hallmarks to the 2 silver lids are part rubbed but between them you can work out the date etc.
