Obviously you can take the glass out and use it as a very nice smaller serving / drinks tray (one photo shows it with a small decanter and 4 port sized glasses as an example).

A nice looking early c.20th silver plated jar frame by Mappin & Webb with a swing handle. Will take a jar of c. 8.7cm maximum diameter and the internal gallery height is 10.5cm. Also makes a fairly decent wine bottle coaster for a standard shaped 70cl bottle.
