A very fine and exceptional quality plating roll-top breakfast dish that doubles as a soup tureen, complete with its removable fat-drip tray and under pan. Made by Elkington in 1904. Lid top is monogrammed 'MEJ'. Raised on paw and column feet, lovely ring handles supported by an ivy leaf drop detail and horizontal cones. Nicely part fluted lid.
Condition: Exterior is absolutely gleaming silver, no dents. Fat-drip under pan has some minor wear and a few small underside dents, drip pan itself has some minor rim knocks. Interior of the tureen area is good with some minimal surface spots and scuffs from ladle use.
