These really are superb looking pieces, made by Thomas Wilkinson of Sheffield, the tea pot and coffee pot having sphinx finials. Absolutely gorgeous bright cut chasing to the bodies. Gilt wash to interior of the large sugar bowl. Pot capacities c. 2 pints.
Condition: All absolutely gleaming silver. Teapot: no dents, slight recesses to top of handle from where the Sphinx wings rest when opened. Interior clean with some slight wear. Coffee pot: Slight plate wear to front of spout but not glaringly obvious. Again some recesses to top of handle from the finial. One pinhead dent to lower body at base of spout area. Some tarnish to interior. Sugar bowl: One very gentle knock to lower body, hardly visible, Some very slight wear in the gilt wash to its interior base.
