A silver handled and steel bladed knife made c. 1790 with pronounced scimitar shape blade, acanthus scroll to the pistol grip handle which bears a crest of the Trotter family (motto 'festina lente').
Condition: Good and solid, obvious rust marks to the steel blade, slight tip of blade kinks and general small knocks to handle from use other the years. Hallmarks are totally rubbed. One tiny hole at the crest area.
