A quality old chest with 2 pull out trays. Exterior is mahogany veneered, vacant plaque to lid and has its original key. Made for R.Stewart Silversmiths of Glasgow.
Condition: Crack to one lid corner and some digs/scratches along the front edge of lid. Scratches at plaque and a slight water mark around it. Interior is quite splendid overall, some remnants of the old paper setting labels to interior, most to the base layer remaining intact. Some looseness to lining to base layer and movement of the Gravy Spoon retainer. Lock works fine.
