A fabulous traveling case by Finnigans of New Bond Street, London made for Marjorie Wollaston (nee Bevan), wife of Hubert Wollaston of Shenton Hall. Tan leather with fitted interior and having its original canvas protective cover, both case and cover are monogrammed 'M.E.W' whereas the insides are monogrammed 'MB' or 'MEB' for her maiden initials. Inside has a 5 piece Finnigans faux tortoiseshell brush, comb & mirror set, 4 London 1917 silver topped glass jars by Charles Henry Dumenil and a hip flask with detachable cup (these are silver gilt, some pieces have little gilt left however), spare silver lid, leather jewellery box, leather correspondence folder, leather manicure set with a mix of bone and mother of pearl handled tools etc.

Condition: Case exterior: is structurally ok with some scuffs and marks etc. We have given the leather a treat with some saddle food. Case Interior: silk lining has some snags, marks and pulls and in particular the 'slipper compartment' to right side of case is very frayed. Silverware: all quite good, original gilding to jars is mainly rubbed with use etc but the hip flask is still very golden. Some dents to hip flask lid at sides, cup very good. The larger circular jar has a slight dent, smaller knocks to the other pieces. All glass is fine. Brushes etc all good with some bristle discoloration. Canvas cover: ok with a marks and a couple of holes.
