Silver Plate, Sheffield, EPNS, Old Sheffield Plate

A set of 10 silver plated ice cream or sundae bowls by Ianthe, not seen these by Ianthe before.

A good looking entrée dish Wm Hutton and Sons of Sheffield with detachable handle so that the lid can be used as a secondary serving dish if desired. Beaded rims.

A gorgeous and unusual 'Gypsy Cauldron' by Atkin Bros with a splendid gilt washed interior. These were probably used for keeping sauces warm etc, suspended from a tripod above a burner. One side is crested with a demi-lion rampant holding a fleur-de-lis, the other has a conjoined monogram 'ES'.

A good looking pair of large sized sugar bowl and milk/cream jug by Dixon with gilt washed interiors and bright cut work to bodies. Monogrammed 'SSG@ to one side. Sugar bowl measures 20.5cm across the handles.

A lovely looking entrée dish with detachable handle so that the lid can be used as a secondary serving dish if desired. Greek Key and bead decoration, bearing a crest of a griffins head above a crown to one side of lid. No makers marks to dish itself but handle is marked for J.H. Potter of Sheffield. The stand has serpentine shaped legs with beaded onslow style terminals and splayed feet. Would originally have had a burner.

A silver plated cushion frame raised on ball feet with its original velvet covered box with cushion top and silk lined interior.

A deco period dish frame complete with its original Pyrex glass bowl and lid.

A good looking smaller vase in art nouveau style.

One of the most good looking sets we have ever had, made to look like Old Sheffield Plate (silver on copper). Each piece is monogrammed with a single initial 'F' to each side. Pot capacity c 2 pints. Unidentified makers mark but it almost certainly has to be English due to the quality.

A really fine looking bowl - would make a good larger nut bowl or a smaller fruit bowl for example.

An absolutely gorgeous coffee pot by Wm Page & Co of Birmingham with beautiful birds, bouquets and swags decoration. Capacity c. 2 pints. Bovine bone finial.

An unusual early c.20th 3 piece EPBM set by Atkin Bros with strong Celtic decoration. Pot capacity 1.5 pints.

A nice little trophy cup with a Lindisfarne pattern band to outer rim. Would also make a good sugar bowl etc. No engraving.

A silver plated crumb tray with bright cut work, having an acetate faux bone handles and a sterling silver ferrule fully hallmarked for Sheffield 1905. Made by Harrison Brothers & Howson.

A good sized platter by Elkington made in 1937, having a small Masonic crest to rim.
