An Edwardian tea kettle on claw feet stand, the overhead handle having matching decoration. Crested with a shamrock and hunting horn above the Latin motto Paratus et Fidelis (prepared and faithful). Made by Hukin & Heath c. 1900. Retailed by A&J Smith of Aberdeen. Marked as 4 Gill capacity.
Condition: Overall gleaming silver with a few surface scratches and slight nickel bleed wear at the crest and very slightly to pot aperture rim, some darker tarnished wear to lid at same areas of edge of rim. Interior has some limescale build-up/tarnish. Burner wick height adjustor no longer seems to be working and the adjustor arm has some movement/looseness, but burner is still useable as is.
