An early pair of grape dishes by James Dixon & Sons when they were basically swapping from Old Sheffield Plate to Electroplating. They have wooden pedestalled bases with baised undersides. Beautiful applied grape & vine rim decoration. The dishes interesting bear the 'D&S' marking usually associated with their Old Sheffield Plate, not electroplate.

Condition: Both gleaming silver, one has some slight nickel bleed and utensil marks. Both have some small pieces of the grape decoration to rim missing.
