A c.19th fitted oak chest with carrying handles containing a large communion claret jug (capacity c. 2 pints), a larger communion wine goblet and a paten tray. The jug & goblet both have hand etched ownership marks to underside of 'Buxton Prim Meth Chapel'.
Condition: Generally gleaming silver, the jug and goblet are EPBM and the jug does exhibit some darker surface wear areas and slight scratches. One tiny knock to the body, not that noticeable. Jug interior is fairly clean. Minor scratches to the goblet, no dents. Paten is an early c.20th EPNS replacement and is gleaming silver with minor surface marks/wear. The interior of case has a lot of marks to the lining and historical patching etc. Case exterior has some marks/scuffs but is structurally fine.
