An absolutely highest quality Victorian silver plated tea pot by Martin, Hall & Co with its matching tall milk jug with gilt washed interior. The tea pot has an eagles head spout and a Bacchus face to mid spout. The attention to detail is quite incredible, with fine texturing to the floral finial, eagles head etc. One side of the teapot is engraved 'Presented to Miss Woodside as a token of the affectionate regard of her scholars in Glengarnock and with best wishes for her future happiness Oct 30th 1873'. Pot capacity is 2.5 pints.

Condition: Teapot: gleaming with some minimal wear to body at chased areas etc. A couple of small knocks and a very minimal dent to lower body. Interior is in reasonable shape with some slight wear and marks. Jug: fine, minimal marks to interior.
