A most beautiful and unusual spoon for its time, this is gorgeous piece by Yapp & Woodward, fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1845. Gilt wash to bowl. Probably intended as a salt or snuff spoon. Lion rampant crest.

Here are 2 pieces of unmarked silver (definitely silver, not plate), The longer one is probably Chinese with a frog, flower & butterfly etched to bowl. It has a turned bovine bone handle. Smaller one has a planished (gently hand beaten) bowl and a crudely etched design to handle.

An older Old Sheffield Plate wine bottle coaster unusually with the middle section silvered rather than with turned wood, but still with a wooden base.

Never seen another like this one! The base is formed and engraved as a birds wing and the bars are formed as crossed feathers. It has a ring to the larger end for retaining a butter dish. Comes with the later ramekin and a very nice butter spreader. Bears a design registration number equating to 1895 and made by Norton & White of Birmingham.
