Our Reference #: 51565

An Old Sheffield Plate large tea urn c. 1825 with a large silver plated removable tea leaf straining cage to interior. Has makers mark of 'JG' to lid only.

Condition: Absolutely gleaming silver with some copper bleed mainly visible to lid but still retains the vast majority of its silver. No major dents, some small knocks to body. One small solder spot repair to lower body at rear side but hardly visible. The tap (faucet) is deliberately designed to be removable and still works fine. There is a slight leak from the lower area of the tap stem join with body. Interior has historical exposed lead to the central base area.
