Sterling Silver, Solid Silver

An interesting couple of pieces with lovely silver handles just marked with a '12' for 12 Loth standard, probably Polish mid c.19th. Steel uppers. The fork is quite long.

A really good looking serving spoon, probably intended for fruit, with a lovely pierced gilt washed bowl fully hallmarked for Sheffield 1885, maker Walker & Hall (John Edward Bingham) and having an intricately carved handle, the rear of which has a carved monogram 'LPB'.

A nice looking cased set of 6 teaspoons in 750 standard silver. Floral chasing with a monogram 'MG'. The marks are hard to identify but we are fairly sure they will be Czechoslovakia 1920's.

These are really quite incredible little pieces! There are 5 forks and 5 knives, they are unmarked silver plated, and each handle is a semi-precious stone including carved amber (with inclusions), carved amethyst quartz, other quartz, carved rock crystal, agates etc. Forks range in size from 10cm to 10.5cm, knives 11.8-12cm. We assume they were intended for use as date or olive utensils. Probably dating c. 1920, origin middle eastern at a guess.

A super condition 3 piece set made by Mappin & Webb to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Sheffield assay office. Each piece is Fully hallmarked for Sheffield 1972. Comes with certificate and in original case.

A sterling silver souvenir spoon of London made by Turner & Simpson and fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1947.

A nicely made small lidded jug with a single monogram capital letter 'A' to lid. It has no markings whatsoever so sold as 'white metal'.

A pair of early c.20th Yogya (Jogja), Indonesia made 800 standard solid silver salad servers.

A sterling silver mid-size butter knife by Atkin Bros fully hallmarked for Sheffield 1944. Comes in a card presentation box.

A good sterling silver napkin ring fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1966, made by Joseph Gloster.

A good fiddle pattern teaspoon engraved with crossed rifles and letter 'B' above '08'-'09'. Fully hallmarked for London 1906 and made by Robert Stebbings.

A sterling silver vesta case by W.H. Sparrow fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1914. Monogrammed 'WJF'.

A great bit of fun, this is a sterling silver mounted blackened steel attention bell fully hallmarked for London 1921, maker Wolfsky & Co Ltd.
