A real ebony wood standish unusually with a drawer compartment, complete with its twin cut glass inkwells. The ebony has ornately chased sterling silver mounts by H F Daltrey & Co, fully hallmarked for London 1910. The main mount is monogrammed 'A.W.C'.

Condition: Inkwells need a little work as they are both missing the spigots that feed through their lids to the glass, shouldn't be a major job if you can find the right sized doweling and top it with a stud or similar. One of the inkwells has a chip to front top corner and a smaller nibble along one side. The velvet pads on which the 2 wells rests are a little worn/have holes. To the edge side of the glass wells there is a small crack in the ebony on each side, but its not that noticeable. One of the silver mounts is missing a pin. The other wells silver lid mount has slight knocks and the lid itself slight scratches.
