Our Reference #: 60645
A quite intriguing & quirky late Victorian/Edwardian period piece by Copeland. We can only presume it was intended for serving scrambled eggs on toast or similar. Comprises a lidded 'coupe' type bowl, a toast rack, pepper pot and open salt pot, all pieces having their own recesses in the base plate. Not come across another piece like this before.
Condition: Generally good but there are some imperfections in the glaze (from manufacture) especially evident to the toast rack & exterior of the salt pot on one area, and some fine 'egg-shell' glaze crazing here and there. The pepper pot filling aperture has historical damage which has been smoothed down and a now has a tight fitting cork bung (you need a watch screwdriver or similar to remove it for filling).
