Our Reference #: 53400

A Victorian/Early Edwardian Pearce & Sons cased suite of 12 large table knives, 12 dessert knives and 5 piece carving set. The cutlery all has riveted bone handles and steel blades. Mix of Harrison Brothers & Howson of Sheffield and Joseph Rodgers & Sons of Sheffield with one large table knife by Richard Osmond of Leicester. Total of 29 pieces.

Condition: The knives pre-date stainless steel so there are some tarnish marks and general sharpening/use marks to blades etc but generally good and structurally fine. Some cosmetic cracks to some of the handles but all good and solid and perfectly useable. The carving set is a harlequin suite of replacement pieces, some vintage, some antique. The knives across the sets are slightly different in size. Case has a crack across lid but is still in overall good shape, interior quite good. Has its key and lock works fine.
