Our Reference #: 49211

A lovely looking large suite of silver plated flatware by Thomas Bradbury & Sons of Sheffield, bearing PODR diamond registration marks to rear heels for design in 1880. The pattern is an unusual thread and bead variant, double struck. The suite comes in a free-format c.19th Mahogany veneered case with vacant shield to lid. Comprises 2x large basting/gravy spoons, 1x large soup ladle, 2x sauce ladles, 12x table forks, 18x dessert forks, 24x dessert spoons, 12x table spoons. Total of 71 pieces.

Condition: All have been hand polished and are gleaming silver. There is some slight wear to rear heel areas of some of the pieces but nothing too deterring. Overall it's a gorgeous looking set. Case has an obvious veneer chip to one corner of lid, a few other smaller veneer nibbles and some scratches/veneer cracks etc, some marks to interior base lining.
