Vintage Canteens and Cased Cutlery sets etc

A large canteen of Pinder Bros of Sheffield 'Consort' pattern, designed in 1958. 8 place settings of dinner fork, dinner knife, side fork, side knife, tea knife, fish fork, fish knife, dessert spoon, soup spoon, tea spoon, coffee spoon + 4 tablespoons + 3 piece carving set. Total of 95 pieces.

A nice cased set of 6 coffee spoons and matching sugar spoon in fitted case, by Harrison Brothers & Howson of Sheffield.

A nice cased set of 12 dessert knives and forks with MOP handles and silver plated uppers with bright cut work.

These are really quite incredible little pieces! There are 5 forks and 5 knives, they are unmarked silver plated, and each handle is a semi-precious stone including carved amber (with inclusions), carved amethyst quartz, other quartz, carved rock crystal, agates etc. Forks range in size from 10cm to 10.5cm, knives 11.8-12cm. We assume they were intended for use as date or olive utensils. Probably dating c. 1920, origin middle eastern at a guess.

An interesting assortment of pieces all with sterling silver handles and steel uppers. Includes a 26.7cm pistol grip handled Trotter family branch crested dinner knife (motto 'festina lente') hallmarks rubbed, 25cm meat fork (hallmarks rubbed), 27.8cm bright cut dinner knife (lion passant & duty mark only fairly rubbed), 22cm 4 pronged dinner fork (Sheffield 1828 part rubbed) and a 25.8cm early Victorian dinner knife with rubbed crest, hallmarks rubbed, blade marked Thornhill London.

An early c.20th large campaign style cutlery chest with brass carrying handles and vacant plaque to lid. Made for 12 settings + carvers/ladles etc. Could be up cycled into a very large jewellery box.

An antique set of dessert cutlery with mother of pearl handles and close plated (silver on steel) uppers, each having a very ornate sterling silver ferrule fully hallmarked for Sheffield 1900. Made by Hukin & Heath.

A splendid condition set of Old English by Viner & Hall of Sheffield for 12 settings with accompanying acetate faux bone handled cutlery. Comes in a large campaign style chest with brass carrying handles and vacant shield. Comprises 12 each of dinner knife, dinner fork, dessert knife, dessert fork, dessert spoon, teaspoon, egg (or coffee) spoon + 4x salt spoons, 2x mustard spoons (gilt wash to bowls), sugar tongs, 6x tablespoons, 2x large sauce ladles, 1x large soup ladle. 5 piece carving set. Total of 105 pieces.

A vintage canteen of Viners Sandringham pattern for 6 settings, the pull out drawer hosting a set of fish eaters and the top layer comprising 6 each of dinner fork, side fork, dinner knife, side knife, large dessert spoon, soup spoon, teaspoon, coffee spoon. Total of 60 pieces. Knives are obviously steel bladed, fish set also has steel uppers and plated handles. Note that there are no tablespoons, nor is there a slot for them.
