A very nice large silver plated serving tray by Martin, Hall & Co of Sheffield, c. 1880. Chased surface of foliates and scrolls. Very nice handle design of tight leaved ferns and almost ammonite looking raised rope twists. Measures 70cm across the handles, 56.5cm excluding the handles and 43.5cm wide. Overall gleaming silver with some wear at the chasing and surface marks from use. No dents. GBP89.99

ANTIQUE VICTORIAN SILVER PLATED CHAMPAGNE BOTTLE STAND – SHEFFIELD Item #56818
A good looking and unusual siphon stand which is perfect for taking larger diameter champagne bottles etc. Lovely ivy decoration to rim. Sheffield made. Overall gleaming silver with some plate wear in places (it doesn’t show us so much in normal lighting) and slight wear along the seam join of the flared base with the gallery. There is a small section of solder that has perished here also, revealing a very small hole but it doesn’t cause any problems with use and cant be seen from outside. Some general interior wear. Some minor knocks to the flared base rim. GBP24.99

A vintage conical pressed glass and silver plated upper claret jug, the spout formed as a Bacchus mask. Glass fine, interior fairly clean. An early c.20th silver plated half size claret jug by Barker Bros, with pedestal base and part fluted body. Very nice carved wooden handle. Overall gleaming mirror-like silver but the lower of shoulder/neck area does have plate wear all the way round (like a tide line), in normal lighting it isn’t at all obvious due to shape etc. Some minor wear at the raised fluting. No dents. Interior reasonable. Makers mark not clear due to positioning on underside. GBP24.99

A fabulously early pair of electroplated large fish servers by Martin, Hall & Co of Sheffield, the handles bearing design registration marks for 1847! In original fitted case. The chasing work is particularly fine to the blade. Both gleaming silver with use marks. The main server has some slight plate wear to handle and a small patch to rear side of blade but it doesn’t really detract at all in normal lighting. Case lining has some tears to silk. Exterior is remarkably good looking for age, the push button opening probably missing a ‘button’ of some sort to front but still operable. GBP29.99
