A suite of 6 small & dainty pistol grip style sterling silver handled tea / butter knives with steel blades. Made by C.J. Vander, 5 are fully hallmarked for Sheffield 1963, one is Sheffield 1958. One handle (Sheffield 1958) is a slightly different size/shape to the other 5 (Sheffield 1963) and has some tiny pinhead sized knocks to handle on one side and slight knock to underside of the grip handle, otherwise good with mild use marks. Also comes with an additional 3 matching pattern/size spoons by other makers (Cailar & Henry etc – one monogrammed to rear handle). So you get 15 spoons in total, 12 being Christofle examples. These are in original Butler boxes with Fulwood labels – although this may seem odd it does make sense as both Ryals & Butler were acquired by Ingersol in the late 1960’s and amalgamated etc. Hand polished & gleaming silver with some light use marks. A vintage 44 piece set of Jesmond pattern by John Blyde of Sheffield (obviously the knives are acetate faux bone handled and steel bladed but original to the set) + an additional 4 coffee spoons by N. Barnett. All hand polished & gleaming silver with some use marks. The side knife handles are a different shade to the dinner knives but how they were made. Case exterior good with minor scuffs and scratches. The interior lining is slightly fluffy and the knife retainer bar to top inside of lid has evidence of being reglued. GBP99.99

A good looking vintage light oak veneer case with separate lower drawer, slots for 24 knives to the inside of lid , all the other slots are ‘free-format’ etc. This will take side knives of c. 8.5 inch (21.7cm) and dinner knives of c. 9.8 inch (24.5cm), so ideal for Kings pattern etc. In overall very nice condition with very minor scuffs/scratches only and some wear to the brass finish of the drawer knobs. There are some feint tiny red spots to the top in a small area, not that noticeable. Minor marks to interior lining but it is in overall good condition. GBP39.99
