ANTIQUE VICTORIAN TRAVELING VANITY CASE WRITING BOX 1870 SILVER PLATED GLASS Item #56872
A lovely Victorian box covered in Moroccan leather with tooling to lid, a central silver plaque with the monogram ‘LF’ and date 1870. The interior has matching silver plated on copper lidded bottles with the same monogram, 2 inkwells, a selection of miss-matched manicure / vanity tools some with mother of pearl handles and various other pieces of old miscellany in the various compartments including a silver thimble in a case, a mother of pearl & silver fruit knife (one side has a crack) and various other tools. Inside of lid has a pill down compartment. Case in overall very nice condition. All glass intact. Minor nibbles to the bases of the inkwell stoppers. Everything else as seen in the photos. Has its key, the lock is a little sticky / fiddly but it will lock. GBP149.99

A good mixed lot of 19x mother of pearl handled cutlery and flatware, most pieces are silver plated, 2x knives are solid sterling silver and fully hallmarked for Sheffield 1905. Includes a nice Victorian cheese knife, pickle forks, childs feeding spoon & pusher, bread forks straining ladle etc. AS found – most handles are ok but there are some chips (notably to one of the sterling silver knives). Some handle joins with uppers have gaps or slightly loose etc. WE have not polished these, some will have wear. GBP99.99

A lovely thing, this is a silver plated toast rack and egg cup combo complete with 2 fiddle spoons and a lovely blue and white ‘lace’ enamel salt pinch dish. Rack & spoons absolutely gleaming silver. Both egg cups have some slight wear to their interiors and one has some wear to its pedestal but they still look fine enough. No damage to glass. GBP74.99

ANTIQUE SILVER PLATED HOT PLATE WITH ADJUSTABLE BURNER Item #59232
A nice early c.20th larger circular hotplate with a removable aluminium plate to centre and adjustable burner compete with some wick. Absolutely gleaming silver, some marks to the hotplate surface area. The burner lid hinge is on the loose side and the burner adjustor doesn’t automatically lift it,. The burner height adjustor works fine however. GLEAMING ORNATE ANTIQUE 3 PIECE TEA SERVICE SET – SHEFFIELD Item #59233
A very gorgeous looking 3 piece set, very high quality plating. Interestingly the milk jug and sugar bowl are marked for Creswick whereas the pot itself is by Atkin Bros, so we presume that Atkin Bros took over some of Creswicks patterns when they closed business. Teapot is marked as ‘5’ for 5 cups capacity (2.5 UK pints). All absolutely gleaming. No dents to teapot, interior clean with some slight wear. Sugar bowl no dents and gleaming interior. Milk jug has a few dents to its lower body area but not at all obvious when on the table, a very slight knock to its spout rim. Minor marks to interior. GBP69.99

A lovely shape Victorian 3 piece set, the teapot by Thomas Wilkinson and the jug and bowl marked for a presumed retailer of the set ‘B&Co’ of Sheffield. Pot marked as 4 cups capacity. All gleaming silver, no dents other than a minor one to underside of teapot and a minor top of handle knock. A very good historical resolder repair to one front side of the teapot, it is fine and watertight. Cosmetic surface crack line in the wooden finial top. Both milk jug and sugar bowl have some interior wear. GBP49.99

A 1.5 pint teapot and matching 1 pint hot water jug (could use as a coffee jug) by Gladwin of Sheffield. Teapot bears a design registration number equating to 1927. Both overall gleaming silver but with some plate wear, mainly to handles, slightly to lids and some patchy wear to the jug body. Some tea tarnish/wear to interior of the teapot and minor spotting to inside base of the jug. No dents other than a few small knocks to the top of the teapot handle. GBP34.99

SUPERB OLD SHEFFIELD PLATE CRUET SET ORIGINAL GLASS & STERLING LIDS Item #59239
A fabulous looking Old Sheffield Plate 6 bottle cruet stand complete with its original glassware, the 2 shakers and mustard pot have sterling silver tops, the shakers are hallmarked for London 1854 (one set of hallmarks part stamped), maker William Neal, the mustard pot is hallmarked for Birmingham 18?? (date letter unclear), maker Henry Manton. Plated mustard spoon in fiddle pattern. Cayenne bottle has its spoon. No makers marks to stand itself. Stand is in fabulous condition for age, tinned underside, absolutely gleaming with minor marks. A replacement nut and spindle screw to its underside. Glassware generally very good with minor nibbles only. One stopper has a chipped end. One of the shaker lids has a tiny knock to its top. GBP99.99

A fine looking 3 piece slightly harlequin se, the teapot by Robert Pringle of London, approx 2.5 pints capacity. The sugar bowl & milk jug are by Holman & Norton of Birmingham. All pieces have gilt washed interiors, even the teapot which is very unusual. All gleaming silver, no dents, clean interiors. There is some very slight wear to the fluting of the milk jug and sugar bowl but it doesn’t notice in normal lighting. GBP47.99
