ROBERTS & BELK OLD ENGLISH BRIGHT CUT 8 SETTINGS CANTEEN SILVER PLATED VINTAGE Item #61621
A lovely and hard to find set by Roberts & Belk in Old English Bright Cut for 8 persons. Includes a matching pair of salad servers, all the usual pieces but no teaspoons. Total of 54 pieces. Comes with R&B pattern guide & pricelist brochure dated 1992. All hand polished & gleaming silver with some use generally light marks, slightly more so to the 4 tablespoons. Note there are no teaspoons in this set. Case has some scuffs etc and the interior top section is slightly split/loose. Note that the knives have a tendency to fall out of their slots when case is opened. GBP249.99

A nice pair of reclaimed brass door pulls. They measure 287mm long and their fixing plates are 72mm diameter. Both good with some surface marks. We have not polished these up. One of the fixing plates has a slight dent to its rim but this should be easy enough to knock out. GBP39.99

A beautiful pair of folding knife & fork with mother of pearl handles having vacant cartouches. Bright cut work to each side. They bear only a duty mark and lion passant mark. Probably Sheffield made c. 1800 Overall very good for age, the knife handle has a slight flaw line in the pearl running around its end, slight marks from use to the silver and a very slight kink to blade tip. Fork prongs are marginally kinked at tips. GBP124.99

A nice match book case by Barker Bros with gilt washed interior. Fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1934, the interior is engraved ‘Overseas Farmers Ltd’. No engraving to exterior. Here are 2 pieces of unmarked silver (definitely silver, not plate), The longer one is probably Chinese with a frog, flower & butterfly etched to bowl. It has a turned bovine bone handle.
