328g STERLING SILVER 12x RPSB SPOONS SET 1973/4 – JOHN PINCHES – CASED Item #100007
A cased set of 12 sterling silver spoons by John Pinches, each handle depicting a different British bird in a gilt silver cartouche. Comes with original certificate and documentation. Spoons are fully hallmarked for London 1973/74. Spoons all fine with minor surface tarnish marks, total weight of spoons 328.9g. Case has some slight veneer damage at ends but fairly minor. There is a slightly musty storage ‘whiff’ to the paperwork which has a free marks. Total cased weight is 1885g. GBP559.99

A sterling silver sugar bowl by James Deakin & Sons fully hallmarked for Sheffield 1926. No engravings. One small shallow dent to one long side at its shoulder area and a couple of pinhead sized knocks to the other long side. None are that detracting and should be easily enough knocked out. A very nice looking and nice larger sized silver plated frame with central carrying handle, raised on ornate feet and having stamped foliate decoration. Complete with its original 2 milk glass liners. Made by Albert Beardshaw of Sheffield c 1880. Gleaming silver, glass very good with just a tiny mid of rim nibble to one dish and some minor surface scratches from use. Underside of one dish has a small brown patch in the glass (an inclusion, from manufacture, not damage etc). GBP34.99

A good looking larger 3 piece by Dixon in EPBM c. 1870, the coffee pot with a lovely bright cut floral finial, gorgeous handle and all pieces having bright cut work to handles. Grapevine feet and this extending to the lower spout of the pot. Gilt wash to interior of jug and bowl. All gleaming silver, some very slight wear in places, most noticeable to one lower side of the jug but it still looks good. Interiors are clean with slight marks. Sugar bowl has a gentle dent to base. Coffee pot has a couple of barely noticeable small knocks to belly. GBP49.99
