ANTIQUE NAPIER COFFEE MAKER – SILVER PLATED – SHEFFIELD – AS FOUND Item #53648
A rare c.19th Napier coffee maker made by Padley, Parkin & Staniforth c. 1870. This is definitely an earlier example from the decoration and the fact that the vessel has no tap to body. Has a conjoined monogram to stand surface. Sold as seen. The pipe would originally have had a ‘rose’ to its end which has been deliberately removed at some stage, presumably for some homebrew ‘distilling’. This means that the pot has a tendency to ‘roll over’ to one side on the stand by about 30 degrees from vertical. Some wear to plating and some slight plate bubbling in places. Bucket is missing a fixing spindle to its underside & a replacement fixing nut but it not a big issue, no holes in the bucket interior. The pot has one shallow small body dent and a slight dent to one of its ‘arms’. No burner. GBP99.99

Lid also a corresponding dent at same area. One of the ball feet is slightly off perfect straight. Tap still works as does the burner. It is still a functional piece. GBP74.99
