CASED PAIR STERLING SILVER SALT POTS & SPOONS – VICTORIAN 1899 ANTIQUE Item #54825
A lovely pair of salts fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1899, maker Henry Williamson Ltd complete with blue glass liners and 2 spoons (replacements). In original case. Salts are ‘immaculate’ and look like they have never been used, no salt marks etc. One glass liner has some minor digs. Spoons fine but are later replacements. Case has slight scuffs and slight rub to the front edge of the velvet lining. Total silver weight is 40g. GBP74.99

CASED SET OF 4 STERLING SILVER BONBON DISHES – BIRMINGHAM 1911 – ANTIQUE Item #54826
A lovely & unusual cased set of 4 sterling silver bonbon dishes by Wm Hutton & Sons, fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1911. In John Cockburn of Richmond, Surrey presentation case. All good with some surface marks but no real issues. Case has some scuffs to exterior, interior quite nice, one hinge ribbon is fraying. Total silver weight is 125g. Total cased weight 686g. GBP119.99

A set of 6 sterling silver and bakelite napkin rings by Joseph Gloster, hallmarked for Birmingham 1930. They come in an unassociated wooden case for storage/presentation. Generally good with some surface marks, hallmarks part rubbed. Napkin rings weigh 205g in total, they are quite weighty gauge silver but obviously have bakelite interiors. GBP124.99

A nice and unusual twin inkwell in heavy cut glass (hobnail underside) with a pen rest recess to front, the lids being silver plated. Glass overall good with some minor digs, no nasty chips etc. Plating has some nickel bleed wear, more so to one lid than other. A lovely pair of child’s feeding spoon & food pusher, the terminals in the form of a hare and hound, each standing on rear legs. Heavy gauge silver, made by Saunders & Mackenzie, both fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1948, and in Mappin & Webb presentation case. Structurally fine with surface marks/marks from use etc. Spoon has some digs to its bowl interior. A beautiful cased set by Martin, Hall & Co of Sheffield c. 1880, comprising of a stilton scoop, 2x butter knives and 2x pickle forks. Ball terminals to handles. Bright cut work to front sides of handles. All gleaming silver, some minor wear but it doesn’t really detract. A minor point is that the butter knives are missing their tiny round ‘caps’ to ends of handles. Case very good for age. GBP99.99

A cased pair of fish servers with sterling silver blade/prongs with nicely bright cut chased decoration and finely carved bone handles. Made by Martin, Hall & Co and fully hallmarked for Sheffield 1882. Main server fine with some use marks, fork has a cosmetic handle stress hairline to front and back but still absolutely solid and useable. Case has some scuffs and clasp no longer shuts tightly. Slice weighs 180g, Fork 129g. 667g total cased weight. GBP119.99

ANTIQUE STERLING SILVER LARGE FISH SERVERS – BIRMINGHAM 1857 – VICTORIAN Item #54843
An early Victorian pair of fish servers in sterling silver (both handle and uppers), the uppers are fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1857 and made by John Gilbert. The handles are hallmarked for 1855 and 1856. Both perfectly solid & useable. The fork has a historical very good ‘invisible’ repair to its prong stem area through the hallmarks as evidenced by some loss of design and hallmarking. Knife has some bitumen showing around its hilt join area. General handle knocks etc. Hallmarks are fairly rubbed to handles. Silver weighs 171g and the fork 107g. Obviously handles are filled but there is a lot of silver here. GBP174.99

A good looking sterling silver Hanau spoon, the bowl with repousse design of a woman with a basket on her head crossing a bridge on a lake. A good set of 4 heavy sterling silver larger sized oval salts with original blue glass liners. Made by T H Hazlewood & Co, fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1911, with 3 of the original spoons to the set and 1 replacement. Salts all good with minor surface marks, makers marks part rubbed. Liners good with minor foot rim nibbles, visible rims fine. Spoons ok, slight marks, slight handle kinks. 3 of the original spoons to the set and 1 replacement. Total silver weight is a hefty 290g, total weight with liners is 560g. GBP239.99

RARE SUITE OF SCENT BOXES – STERLING SILVER & GLASS CRESTED LONDON 1838 ANTIQUE Item #54851
An exceptional suite of early Victorian pierced lid scent boxes & a scent / perfume carrier box with hinged lockable key device. All with the same gorgeous crest of a lion passant, all fully hallmarked for London 1838 and made by Frances Douglas. The largest box is 17.5cm long, the next 10.5cm and the scent carrier 7.8cm. Quite splendid for age and use, no major issues, the 10.5cm box has a small surface chip at one end below lid rim area and a tiny (pinhead) dent to lid. Total weighable silver (i.e. the 2 lids) is 94g. GBP174.99

A small group of silver items including a Cherub silver handled steel shoe horn (Chester 1908), a silver handled steel buttonhook (Birmingham 1918) and a silver backed brush with crest of a lion rampant & post, monogrammed JEFC, Birmingham 1916. Shoehorn: marks to steel, visible break at handle join with the steel at hilt area, some handle knocks etc. Buttonhook, good with a few tiny pinprick digs to handle. Brush, lots of general knocks and digs bristles slightly out of shape but no major losses. Hallmarks part rubbed but legible. GBP29.99

A nice looking box in 830 standard silver, possibly Norwegian but bears no other visible makers marks etc. Looks to be early c.20th. The lid is set with a decorative ‘button’ which appears to be made from an agate type stone. Interior is fitted with cedar wood. Slightly weighted base. It would make a very nice pen box as well as a cigar box etc. Overall good with some small gentle shallow dents to one end of lid and surface marks. No engravings. Missing its interior wooden divider slat but not a big problem. Some marks to interior. GBP174.99
