A mid Victorian larger size fiddle pattern sauce ladle by Walker & Hall of Sheffield, monogrammed with a single initial ‘C’. The upper section of the handle also has a layer of copper below the silver, giving it an ‘Old Sheffield Plate’ appearance. Overall gleaming silver with use marks, some slight copper bleed at the handle edges and some slight wear to rear of bowl from resting on tables etc over the years. A sterling silver handled letter opener with steel blade. Made for Schofields of Sheffield, the handle fully hallmarked for Sheffield 1926. One knife handle has a smoothed chip to its front side at end &one fork a very slight end chip. One fork has some minor wear to rear heel area. PAIR OF 1864 PERFUME BOTTLES – VICTORIAN HOBNAIL CUT GLASS STERLING SILVER Item #56395
A pair of Victorian hobnail cut glass perfume bottles with square shaped star cut bases and nicely stepped collar cuts. Original stoppers. Lids are sterling silver and fully hallmarked for London 1864, maker George Brace. Lids are monogrammed ‘ASF’. Both stoppers are currently stuck firm in their necks. One bottle has a slight chip to base rim, the other a small nibble to one base corner. Some residue to interiors, one more so than the other. Both lids have slight dents to tops. There are traces of gilt wash in the dents and slightly elsewhere, so presumably the lids were originally totally ‘golden’ coloured. Some residual tarnish related marks to the silver. GBP69.99

A nice cut glass powder jar with a Chippendale rim decorated sterling silver lid fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1922, maker probably Adie Bros. No monograms. Glass fine. Silver has a small thumbnail tip shallow dent and some surface marks/light scratches. There are a couple of very slight holes in the raised Chippendale rim decoration. Silver weight is 31g. No monograms. Glass is overall good, slight chip to the underside of the stopper. Silver overall good with a tiny lid knock and some surface marks. Makers marks are part rubbed.
