ANTIQUE GYPSY CAULDRON SILVER PLATED LIDED BOWL – CRESTED – VICTORIAN Item #99946
A gorgeous and unusual ‘Gypsy Cauldron’ by Atkin Bros with a splendid gilt washed interior. These were probably used for keeping sauces warm etc, suspended from a tripod above a burner. One side is crested with a demi-lion rampant holding a fleur-de-lis, the other has a conjoined monogram ‘ES’. Gleaming silver with surface marks, gleaming gold interior with some minor marks. A few minor knocks to body. Makers marks part rubbed. GBP49.99

A pair of silver plated jugs of c one half of a pint capacity, each with hand engraved chasing. Both gleaming silver, some has some copper bleed at chasing. Interiors are reasonably clean with some marks/minor wear. GBP29.99

GEORGIAN STYLE PISTOL GRIP 4 PAIRS OF DESSERT KNIVES AND FORKS SILVER PLATED Item #99949
A lovely set of 4 pairs of silver plated pistol grip handled dessert knives & forks, the blade shape also in Georgian style. Made by Thomas Bradbury of Sheffield c. 1890. All hand polished & gleaming silver with some use marks, minor tiny handle knocks etc. Forks have slight wear to rear of prongs from resting on tables etc and one has some slight front of tip wear. One fork handle has a small patch of digs to front. GBP47.99
GEORGIAN / EARLY VICTORIAN STERLING SILVER HANDLED CUTLERY X 5 – ANTIQUE Item #99950
An interesting assortment of pieces all with sterling silver handles and steel uppers. Includes a 26.7cm pistol grip handled Trotter family branch crested dinner knife (motto ‘festina lente’) hallmarks rubbed, 25cm meat fork (hallmarks rubbed), 27.8cm bright cut dinner knife (lion passant & duty mark only fairly rubbed), 22cm 4 pronged dinner fork (Sheffield 1828 part rubbed) and a 25.8cm early Victorian dinner knife with rubbed crest, hallmarks rubbed, blade marked Thornhill London. As found, all structurally solid, all have tarnish/rust to their steel. The pistol grip knife has a tiny split at its crest (barley noticeable). The bright cut knife has a hole to lower handle front. A nice sized pair of serving bowls by BSL (Elkington) date marked for manufacture in 1967. These interestingly also bear a royal household St James Crown mark to their undersides. Both gleaming silver with use marks. Some slight plate wear to underside bases. A couple of tiny knocks, no real dents. GBP39.99

A nice little castor with a part hobnail body. No damage to glass. The plated collar has a couple of minor knocks. Lid fine. GBP14.99
ANTIQUE ORNATE CRESTED ENTRÉE DISH ON STAND – SILVER PLATED Item #99957
A lovely looking entrée dish with detachable handle so that the lid can be used as a secondary serving dish if desired. Greek Key and bead decoration, bearing a crest of a griffins head above a crown to one side of lid. No makers marks to dish itself but handle is marked for J.H. Potter of Sheffield. The stand has serpentine shaped legs with beaded onslow style terminals and splayed feet. Would originally have had a burner. Stand is gleaming silver, no issues other than lacking burner. Entrée dish base has obvious utensil marks/slight wear to interior and a slight dent to one end of body. Slight knock to one end of the lid rim and a push to its middle when viewed upside down. It is a bit ‘fussy’ in that you need to get it the right way round to fit on the base – it is not totally tight due to that knock but does a reasonably job. Handle locks nice and tightly. It’s a fantastic looking piece anyway. GBP74.99

A collection of antique silver plated tea ware all with semi-fluted bodies. Makers include Walker & Hall, Elkington mappin & Webb etc. Includes a pedestal coffee pot and water/coffee jug, 4 more coffee / teapots, various milk jugs and sugar bowls, 2 of each are pairs. 17 items in total. Variable and as found. We have not polished these. Most should come up quite nicely, some will have some wear etc. All structurally solid. The 2 smallest teapots have a minor dent.
