An absolutely gorgeous piece by Walker & Hall made in 1889. Leaf border work decoration, raised on ornate feet and with a nice looking central handle, monogrammed to top ‘JSW’. Splendid looking original cut glass dishes. Also comes with the nice butter curl pick and butter knife shown. Gleaming silver, no dents. Glass is overall quite super for age with just a few tiny rim chips to one of the dishes. GBP34.99

VICTORIAN SILVER PLATED BISCUIT / WAFER BOX – SHEFFIELD C. 1875 ANTIQUE Item #57062
A Victorian EPBM biscuit box with twin opening lid, on pedestalled base with chased foliate decoration. Naturalistic twig form handle with holly leaves. Made by James Deakin & Sons of Sheffield. Has obvious wear mainly to the 2 lid flaps but also to the central body area and slightly to pedestal. Interior is good and gleaming. Some slight knocks to the lids along their hinged ends and the lids are only hinged at their centres rather than all along the hinge bar where there solder has perished. Still functions pretty much as intended but the lid handle does have a tendency to lean towards one side rather than true vertical. GBP29.99

SUPERB SIX EGG CUP CRUET SET – SILVER PLATED – VICTORIAN ANTIQUE – SHEFFIELD Item #57063
A magnificent looking 6 egg cup cruet set by James Deakin & Sons of Sheffield, the egg cups with lightly gilt washed interiors and with a side handle, foliate chased uppers and beaded foot rims and stems, the base tray with repousse and bright cut work and having raised slots for 6 spoons. The spoons are late Kings pattern examples. Gleaming silver, some minor marks & rings marks caused by the egg cups but they don’t detract overall. Cups are all fine, spoons fine, 2 are slightly larger than the others. GBP74.99

DAVID MELLOR PRIDE 4 PIECE TEA & COFFEE SERVICE SET SILVER PLATED WALKER & HALL Item #57064
A very scarce 4 piece ‘Pride’ pattern tea and coffee set designed by David Mellor for Walker & Hall. All gleaming silver with minor surface marks. The tea pot has a couple of dents to its very lower belly area, they do not detract much overall as they are to the lower of the pot. Some slight wear to its interior but quite clean. Coffee pot just one tiny body knock, clean interior with minor residual marks to interior base. Milk jug has a small dent to its front under-belly area. Some tiny marks to interior. Sugar bowl, no dents, some tiny marks to interior. Overall it’s a fine looking set with a few bumps but they aren’t that noticeable when in use or on display. GBP299.99

BEAUTIFUL ARTS & CRAFTS SILVER PLATED TEA SERVICE SET – SHEFFIELD Item #57065
A lovely looking set this but with a few issues. A huge amount of work must have gone into making it as the planished surfaces have been ‘prick dot’ edged into hexagonal shapes giving an overall honeycomb surface effect. Lovely art nouveau style vacant heart shaped panels to each sides (no monograms etc). Made by Richard Richardson of Sheffield. The pot is marked as 4 cups (2 pints) capacity. Larger sized sugar bowl. Pot: resoldering to the lid hinge area and to underside. Some slight body dents. Interior is quite clean. It is watertight. Sugar bowl. Some very slight exterior wear and some pinprick digs etc to interior base area. Jug: some more obvious wear but still looks ok. One small dent to body at ‘heart’ area. Slight marks to interior. GBP49.99

ORNATE 4 PIECE SILVER PLATED TEA SERVICE SET POTTER SHEFFIELD ANTIQUE Item #57067
A good looking slightly harlequin 4 piece set, all made by Potter of Sheffield and bearing design registration number corresponding with 1905. Comprises a small ‘bachelor’ sized tea pot, small jug, larger sugar bowl (all same pattern) and a larger jug in a slightly different but similar looking pattern. All overall gleaming silver. The tea pot has a very shallow line dent to body on one side, a slight upper rim knock an a dig to other side of lid/upper rim area & a small recess to handle where the finial rests when opened. Some minimal wear to body in a vertical line at the handle side – fairly minor things. Interior is quite clean with some mild limescale. Both jugs & sugar bowl good, clean with very slight interior marks and similar handle area minor wear. It’s a great looking suite! GBP49.99

A vintage silver plated coffee pot and matching jug, each with pedestalled based and reeded decoration. Both overall gleaming silver with some surface marks. One of the best looking sets we have the pleasure of selling in the last few years, this is an absolute stunner and the photos really do it no justice! Made by Philip Ashberry & Sons of Sheffield. Pots c. 2 pint capacity. Larger sugar bowl. Milk jug has a superb Bacchus mask spout. Beautifully shaped bodies with superb bright cut work. No monograms etc. All splendid, no dents and very minimal exterior surface marks only. Pot interiors clean. Milk jug and sugar bowl have some marks to interior bases and some minor interior tarnish. The bone finial to teapot lid has some slight discoloration. GBP99.99

LOVELY VICTORIAN SILVER PLATED BISCUIT BOX CUT GLASS & SILVER PLATED Item #57070
A very fine looking Victorian cut glass biscuit box with silver plated swing handled collar and repousse and bright cut work lid with a carved bone finial. Glass is fine with just one tiny fleabite to a lower corner area. Plating is gleaming silver with some minor marks, no plate wear. Some very gentle knocks to the lid at corners, hardly even noticeable, The cement to the plated collar is visible through the glass to interior (it always has been) and has some slight discoloration/losses in places but absolutely solid. GBP39.99

A very fine probably Edwardian (Georgian revival period) sugar bowl with swing handle and original Bristol blue glass liner. Absolutely gleaming silver, no dents. Glass fine with a couple of tiny rim fleabites only. Natural bubbles to the inside of the glass from its blowing process. GBP26.99

A really lovely piece by Shaw & Fisher bearing design registration number equating to 1888. Fern & Foliate designed to body. Swing handle to upper. Removable lid. Marked as ‘6’ cups (3 pints) capacity. Gleaming silver, minor surface marks. Slight push to body from the lower handle area but its not a major distraction. Very top of handle has dents where it has historical rested on the spout and handle. Slight equivalent area of wear to top of handle. Slight dig to underside footrim. VICTORIAN ORNATE CLARET JUG – SILVER PLATED – AS FOUND BUT LOOKS NICE! Item #57073
A Victorian silver plated full sized claret jug with lovely angled ‘Dresser Style’ ebony handle and repousse work florals and scrolls to body. Made by Sturgess, Bladon & Middleton of Birmingham. Sold as seen – the lid hinge has been off and resoldered with some wear to the lid around this area. Lid is only attached via one hinge flange, the other has broken away. It is still useable though. Some tarnish to interior. It’s a great looking display piece and still ‘functional’ if you can forgive the lid hinge area. GBP19.99

An extremely early electroplated mustard pot by Elkington bearing the ‘5’ marking for manufacture in 1845. Superb craftsmanship with finely chased scrolls to the 8 sides and further work to lid. Lovely ornate feet. Original Bristol blue glass liner. Comes with a good later mustard spoon too. Plating is absolutely gleaming and original. Some very slight plate wear to the faceted edges/ridges.. No dents. Glass is fine for age with just a couple of tiny fleabites to rim and a minor chip to lower body area which you obviously cant see when in the pot. Spoon fine. GBP34.99

VICTORIAN SILVER PLATED & BLUE GLASS SUGAR BASKET BOWL – PAW FEET Item #57077
A very nice looking Victorian sugar basket with beaded swing handle and upper rim, the main body nicely fret worked and unusually also chased, the feet with acanthus style tops and paw style feet. Plating is overall ok with some slight wear. The glass liner has smooth chips and is slightly uneven from being probably ground down a little in the past. Still does its job though! GBP19.99

GORGEOUS VICTORIAN TROPHY CUP – EX SILVER PLATED – ANTIQUE Item #57081
A very fine looking Victorian trophy cup with ornate handles topped with crested serpents and a very nice repousse work design to upper section of body. Bright cut work to the foot. No engraving. Plating to exterior has completely worn back to the underlying nickel but still has a very nice gleam to it. No body dents. The pedestal stem join area has been historically re-soldered but unobtrusively so. Some tarnish to interior. Would look magnificent if replated. Height measurement quoted is from footrim to the cup rim, I.e. excluding the height of handles, and the 2 diameters quoted are base and top respectively. GBP23.99
