ANTIQUE CASED STERLING SILVER OPEN SALT POTS WITH SPOONS CHESTER 1902 Item #56706
A cased pair of sterling silver salts by John Millward Banks with lightly gilt washed interiors, raised on 3 ball feet. With accompanying salt spoons, both hallmarked but replacements. Both pots structurally fine with obvious interior wear to the gilt wash. One pot hallmarks are completely rubbed leaving makers mark only visible. Both spoons are replacements and one is slightly longer than the other. Case has marks to interior silk lining and elastic spoon restrainers are perished. Scuffs to case exterior. Total silver weight is 29g. Total cased weight is 114g. GBP29.99

A part set of 3 all sterling silver (both handles and blades) tea or butter knives fully hallmarked for Sheffield 1919. Obvious heavier use marks/digs and dents to handles and rub to handle hallmarks. Blades are not too bad looking, one has a slight dig & scratch towards blade tip. All 3 are still good and solid and useable. GBP35.99

COMBINATION VESTA SOVEREIGN STAMP CASE PROPELLING PENCIL PATENT 4709 c. 1887 Item #56709
An antique unusual combination vesta case / match safe with a propelling pencil. The other compartment has a sprung coin holder and a stamp holder to lid. Suspension loop to one side of case. This is silver plated and marked with a patent number 4709. These were made by Wm Neale of Birmingham. Plating has overall consistent wear back to nickel with the odd small circular mark to surface and some scuffs, some small dents etc. Would originally have had a toothpick which is missing. Pencil has wear but still propels as it should. No lead to pencil. GBP39.99

A most beautiful mirror decorated with deep repousse cherubs and florals. Central monogram ‘LAB’. Gleaming silver, minor patch of dark tarnish to surface. Some minor knocks/dents nothing significant. Mirror glass has some deterioration at edges but still perfectly useable. GBP29.99

A good looking globe shaped hobnail cut glass perfume bottle with sterling silver lid decorated with ornate repousse scrollwork. No monograms. Glass in very good condition with just some minimal fleabiting to the cutwork. No cracks or chips. Internal stopper is a marginally small for aperture but fits well enough. Silver lid has some slight dents and small holes when viewed from inside and held to light. From exterior you do not see them. Hallmarks are very rubbed but just about legible. GBP49.99

INITIAL ‘F’ STERLING SILVER PERFUME COLOGNE BOTTLE CHESTER 1915 ANTIQUE Item #56712
A sterling silver lidded cologne style bottle fully hallmarked for Chester 1915, maker E.S. Beresford. Monogrammed with a single initial ‘F’. Lid is firmly stuck in place and will not twist off. A couple of small dents to silver. Bottle has some residue to interior but no visible chips or cracks. GBP24.99

A sterling silver & hobnail cut glass jar fully hallmarked for London 1904 and another smaller heavy pressed glass jar with a sterling silver ‘Green Man’ design lid fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1907. Taller one: glass fine, some minor fleabites to the cutwork only. Silver lid has some holes in the repousse scroll work but they do not really show in reality. Smaller one: glass fine, has a slightly pinkish tinge. A sterling silver miniature hand mirror fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1918, maker Gourdel Vales & Co. No monograms. Could be worn as a pendant or kept in a purse / bag etc. Silver overall good with a gentle dent to back and another small dent to front side. General surface marks. Mirror glass still useable, it has a couple of slight ‘parallel lines’ running vertically in the silvering to back of glass which are impossible to photo, they don’t really detract. GBP37.99

A nice piece, this is a folding cover in engine turned silver with a faux tortoiseshell comb. No monograms. Some slight dents and marks but nothing that causes any issues. c.18th SMALL EX TREFID SPOON (a/f) – STERLING SILVER – ANTIQUE Item #56748
A very old (as in late c.17th/early c.18th) smaller spoon which would presumably originally have had trefid pattern handle tops which have been removed at some stage. Probably an egg spoon. Later etched with an initial ‘F’ to rear of handle. Bowl has wear to one side, handle kinked. Markings completely worn, illegible, other than a small area to base of handle. GBP14.99

A very rare Georgian tooth brush – this one is double ended (although only one set of bristles present). Bearing partial hallmarks for London 1792, maker appears to be John Holloway. No monograms or crests. Fine with surface marks primarily at the rear side of brush head, no real issues. GBP199.99

A sterling silver & blue guilloche enamel handled nail file with steel upper. Fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1928, maker Albert Carter. Sold damaged (as found). There is some chipping to the enamel but it still looks quite good. Some tarnish to the steel end and traces of original gilt wash. Seam join is visible to the silver at sides. GBP19.99

3X SILVER LIDDED & GLASS VANITY JARS / CYLINDERS – AS FOUND Item #56754
A group of 3 jars for pins / toothbrushes etc. The small one is Chester 1906 and lid is monogrammed ‘D.M.C’. The larger topped jar is fully hallmarked for London 1918, no monograms, the other one with screw top has no visible markings and sold as ‘white metal’. Small one: slight lid dents and a small chip to glass at top rim. Larger lid one: a few dents to lid and some rub to the lid pattern. Glass fine with some slight fogging to interior base. Other one: No markings to lid and lid has some black spot marks, dents and split at its seam join (see photos). Glass fine. GBP34.99

A real ‘whopper’ of a vanity jar that would look great on a dressing table filled with cotton wool balls. Made by Adie Bros and fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1934. No monograms to lid. Lovely cutwork to the glass and nice and heavy. Glass fine with just some miniscule fleabites to some of the cutwork, no chips or cracks. Lid does have some dents and slight scuffs but overall ok. A lovely larger sized inkwell by Charles Perry & Co, fully hallmarked for Chester 1922. Last retailed by Searle & Co of London and in their presentation box with tag to interior. A very slight knock to the lid top and some minor dents to body and base rim. Glass liner has some rim chips. Hallmarks are quite rubbed. Box good. Unboxed weight is 576g. Obviously it has a weighted base. Boxed weight is 812g. GBP124.99
