C.J. VANDER STERLING SILVER PISTOL GRIP HANDLE TEA / BUTTER KNIVES Item #58383
A suite of 6 pistol grip style sterling silver handled tea / butter knives with steel blades. Made by C.J. Vander, 5 are fully hallmarked for Sheffield 1963, one is Sheffield 1958. One handle (Sheffield 1958) is a slightly different size/shape to the other 5 (Sheffield 1963) and has some tiny pinhead sized knocks to handle, otherwise good with use marks. GBP59.99
BRITISH UNITED CLOCK CO VICTORIAN NOVELTY CANNON BRASS WIND-UP Item #58385
A late Victorian clock in the form of a cannon, made by the British United Clock Co. The cannon frame is slightly out of perfect shape. Appears to work fine with some loss of time over a period. Minor cosmetic scratches to the glass. GBP149.99
KINGS PATTERN – 71pc CANTEEN SILVER PLATED 6 SETTINGS + EXTRAS VINTAGE CUTLERY Item #58386
A good looking vintage light oak veneer case with separate lower drawer, containing 6 main settings in the top section of dinner knife, dinner fork, side/dessert knife, side/dessert fork, soup spoon, dessert spoon, teaspoon, coffee spoon, grapefruit spoon + 2 tablespoons & pair of salad servers. In the lower drawer a sugar shovel spoon, small sauce ladle, small sifting ladle, an additional 6 teaspoons, butter knife, sugar tongs, large sauce ladle and large cake server. Total of 71 pieces. The case has slots for 24 knives in total, so it would be fairly easy to build this into 12 place settings, as all the other slots are ‘free-format’ etc. All hand polished & gleaming silver with some use marks. A few of the spoon bowls have a minor spot, one dessert spoon has slight plate wear to bowl tip. Salad servers have general bowl scuffs. Overall in good condition and very presentable. Case is in overall very nice condition with minor scuffs/scratches only and some wear to the brass finish of the drawer knobs. GBP199.99
VINTAGE 12 SETTINGS 127pc BUTLER CANTEEN SILVER PLATED CUTLERY 1937 Item #58387
An impressive & very heavy vintage cased deco period set of 12 settings of dinner knife, dessert knife, dinner fork, dessert fork, fish knife, fish fork, dessert spoon, soup spoon, grapefruit spoon, coffee spoon, 4 tablespoons and 3 piece meat servers. Total of 127 pieces. Nice deco shaped handles. Made by George Butler of Sheffield. Rd No 823501 to handles for design in 1937. Case made by Greaves & Son of Sheffield as marked to its underside. All hand polished & gleaming silver with use marks. No major issues, one or 2 pieces have a small spot to bowl, one dinner knife has a little wear to one edge of its handle. Case is overall good with some surface scuffs/scratches and some slight wear to the wood stain on one side. The lower drawer can only be opened when the lid is lifted, as that is the intentional way its drawer lock rod works. The rod sometimes needs a minor manual assistance pull up. Has its key and lock works perfectly. GBP299.99
