A close plated (silver on steel) meat skewer by John Gilbert c. 1830 just shy of 16 inches long, plus a shorter c. 12 inch early electroplate example by John Nowill & Sons of Sheffield c. 1850, this one having some bright cut decoration. Obvious wear in places to the larger one and some slight kinking towards tip. The smaller one has a more obvious kink. GBP19.99
