A fine looking 12 piece set with carved mother of pearl handles and sp uppers with bright cut work. They have sterling silver ferrules fully hallmarked for Sheffield 1896. Comes in an attractive mahogany veneered case with vacant brass shield to lid.
Condition: All gleaming silver, some slight surface marks to knife blades. A couple of the silver ferrules to the knives have slight movement. A minor surface crack in the pearl to rear of one knife blade but hardly noticeable. One fork has a surface stress line in the pearl. One fork has a longer handle than the others for some reason. Case has some marks/scuffs and a missing a slither of wood to the back right hand surface of the case.
