An early c.20th set in Old English made by James Dixon for Harrods Stores, the acetate faux bone handled knives with the Harrods wording to them, silverware marked with the usual H Ld Harrods mark. Comprises 6 each of dinner knife, dinner fork, side/dessert knife, side/dessert fork, dessert spoon, soup spoon, teaspoon + 2 tablespoons. Total of 44 pieces.
Condition: All hand polished & gleaming silver with some use marks. One dessert spoon is a replacement by another maker. One soup spoon has a s scar type mark to inside of bowl. Knives all structurally fine, some slight marks to some of the blades and one dessert knife has a darker mark at hilt area. Case has slots for a 2 piece carving set and a knife sharpener, which are not included. Case exterior has storage marks and scuffs etc. Underside of case is missing most of its original paper covering.
