A good looking bellied jug of c. 1.5 pints capacity raised on hoofed feet. Has graduating holes to inside of spot to allow fluid thru but retain larger contents so definitely for iced water or similar.
This is a really good looking and unusual 'Patent Hemispherical' double lid roll-top raised on elaborate claw feet. Looks a little like an armadillo! Complete with interior drip tray and dish. Made by John Harrison of Sheffield c. 1880.
