A really good looking serving spoon, probably intended for fruit, with a lovely pierced gilt washed bowl fully hallmarked for Sheffield 1885, maker Walker & Hall (John Edward Bingham) and having an intricately carved handle, the rear of which has a carved monogram 'LPB'.

These are really quite incredible little pieces! There are 5 forks and 5 knives, they are unmarked silver plated, and each handle is a semi-precious stone including carved amber (with inclusions), carved amethyst quartz, other quartz, carved rock crystal, agates etc. Forks range in size from 10cm to 10.5cm, knives 11.8-12cm. We assume they were intended for use as date or olive utensils. Probably dating c. 1920, origin middle eastern at a guess.
