Never seen another like this one! The base is formed and engraved as a birds wing and the bars are formed as crossed feathers. It has a ring to the larger end for retaining a butter dish. Comes with the later ramekin and a very nice butter spreader. Bears a design registration number equating to 1895 and made by Norton & White of Birmingham.
Condition: Has quite a bit of plate wear but still has a gleam. One of the underside nuts which tighten the feathered bars is a bit loose but doesn’t tighten or unscrew so one of the bars has movement, but obviously still useable The ramekin is a later replacement for the original glass and works well enough with it.
