Vintage Canteens and Cased Cutlery sets etc

A nice set with acetate faux bone handles and stainless steel uppers, made by Musgrave of Sheffield early c.20th.

A large canteen of Pinder Bros of Sheffield 'Consort' pattern, designed in 1958. 8 place settings of dinner fork, dinner knife, side fork, side knife, tea knife, fish fork, fish knife, dessert spoon, soup spoon, tea spoon, coffee spoon + 4 tablespoons + 3 piece carving set. Total of 95 pieces.

A nice set of 6 pudding spoons and larger serving spoon with a dognose pattern by Harrison Brothers & Howson of Sheffield. In fitted case.

A cased set of very heavyweight fish eaters by Barker Bros - typically each piece weighs 70g.

A cased silver plated spoon and napkin ring with no engraving. Sheffield made.

These are really quite incredible little pieces! There are 5 forks and 5 knives, they are unmarked silver plated, and each handle is a semi-precious stone including carved amber (with inclusions), carved amethyst quartz, other quartz, carved rock crystal, agates etc. Forks range in size from 10cm to 10.5cm, knives 11.8-12cm. We assume they were intended for use as date or olive utensils. Probably dating c. 1920, origin middle eastern at a guess.

An assortment of useful pieces including a lovely Victorian bread fork with cherub terminal, larger sauce ladle in fiddle thread monogram 'M', jam spoon, 2x sifting/straining ladles, sardine fork, butter pick, cocktail fork.

A 12 piece dessert set in the c.19th Grecian pattern, made by Harrison Brothers & Howson of Sheffield c. 1860. Blades are close plated. Handles monogrammed 'ME'.

A vintage boxed set of 3 knives with steel blades and 'faux tortoiseshell' style marbled plastic handles.
