A fine looking basket with profuse repousse floral and scroll work to interior and ornate applied rim and handle work. Crest of a demi-goat rampant to centre. C. 1830 in date.
This is a really good looking and unusual 'Patent Hemispherical' double lid roll-top raised on elaborate claw feet. Looks a little like an armadillo! Complete with interior drip tray and dish. Made by John Harrison of Sheffield c. 1880.
A good looking tray suitable for either e.g. a smaller tea set or a quantity of drinks glasses, serving sandwiches etc. One of the pictures shows it in use with 6 sherry size glasses for size comparison purposes only.
