An early c.20th egg coddler by Mappin & Webb with interior 4 egg wirework rack and a nice ebony finial to lid. Plating is quite worn but still with a gleam and doesn’t look too bad. SILVER PLATED & CUT GLASS CRUET SET ON STAND – ANTIQUE Item #59904
A 4 bottle cruet set by Robert Pringle & Sons of London, the stand raised on ball feet with a pierced shallow gallery. Comes with a Walker & Hall mustard spoon. The 2 stoppered bottles are a different cutwork design to the other 2 but close enough that its still aesthetically pleasing. Some wear to the plating particularly some spotting to the flat stand surface. One of the feet has an interior rattle but it’s a minor point. Glass is ok, some minor rim fleabiting to the stoppered bottles and stopper tops and minor chips to stopper ends. Slight residue to the interiors. GBP34.99

A lovely suite and amazingly the bottle funnel has stayed together with the 2 coasters for 200+ years! Funnel has mercury gilt interior. Coasters are suitable for champagne bottles too. They are early c.19th in date. Funnel: gleaming silver, minor wear and slight copper bleed in the gilding, slight knock to spout aperture area. Coasters: Both exceptional for age, retain almost all of their original silver other than some very slight copper bleed at the inside rims. An exceptional condition silver plated nautilus shell shape spoon warmer by Atkin Bros of Sheffield, c.1870, on a naturalistic rocky platform base. Absolutely gleaming mirror-like silver, plating is totally original. There is only the tiniest area of plate wear to one side, and virtually invisible in normal lighting.
