A lovely pair of Victorian dishes with detachable handle so that the lid can be used as a secondary serving dish if desired. Beaded rims. Ornate chased decoration to lids. Made by John Round & Sons of Sheffield and retailed by A.W. Pridham. Both gleaming silver, one has a very shallow dent to one end of lid but it hardly detracts. The other has some scuffs to lid from where the handle has been too tightly locked historically. Both handles lock nice and tightly. One lid needs a slight ‘push’ to keep it tight on the base dish. Some minor plate wear to undersides of each base dish. GBP59.99

A good looking larger size set by Atkin Bros of Sheffield with elaborate deep chased decoration on a hexagonal base shape. Each piece is monogrammed to one the facets with ‘JRJ’. Tea pot is marked as 4 cups (2 pints) capacity and the coffee pot 5 cups (2.5 pints). The sugar bowl is exceptionally large! Gilt wash to interiors of the sugar bowl and milk jug. Overall gleaming silver with some slight wear, more so to the teapot at its lid facets and handle top. Teapot has some general slight dents, dent to finial and a historical repair visible to underside front area but it watertight, slight wear to its interior but fairly clean. Coffee pot has a dent to one lower facet, some slight interior tarnish. Sugar bowl & milk jug have slight wear to interiors. GBP59.99

Marked as ‘5’ for 5 cups (2.5 pints) capacity. Overall gleaming silver, some gentle small dents to body one side and a slight body knock at footrim. Some gentle knocks to spout on one side. Slight wear the lid hinge area. Interior is fairly clean with slight residue. The mother of pearl finial has a very slight area of fleabiting to its rim at one end (very minor!).
