EARLY VICTORIAN SILVER HANDLED MEAT FORK – ANTIQUE Item #100392
A meat fork with silver handle and steel upper. Structurally solid, general handle knocks and dent to end of handle. Hallmarks completely rubbed. The horizontal line around the top of handle appears to be a break in places but presumably was intended as part of the decoration. It is all smooth to touch etc. Obvious rust marks to steel. A set of 6 sterling silver handled tea knives with silver plated blades. Handles are fully hallmarked for Sheffield 1929, maker Cooper Bros. In original J.B. Mennie of Newcastle fitted case. All generally gleaming with use marks. One handle has an obvious gap at hilt join area with blade, some others have very slight gaps. They are all perfectly solid however. One handle has a very slight split at a facet to its rear side, smooth to touch and almost invisible. Case has some marks and scuffs. GBP47.99

A good sized serving tray by Harrison Brothers & Howson of Sheffield c 1930. Measures 55cm across the handles, 46cm excluding the handles and 34.5cm wide. Gleaming fairly mirror-like silver with some surface marks and scratches. A very gentle surface knock towards one end but it is near invisible. Minor wear to underside. Here are 3 good glass vanity jars with sterling silver lids, comprising a hair tidy fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1913, makers marks rubbed, a powder jar Birmingham 1927 makers marks part rubbed (S&Co), and a larger vanity jar London 1913 by Comyns Glass all fine. The larger lid has a dent to its knob and a few other smaller knocks. Tiniest of pinhead knocks to the hair tidy jar. Total silver weight is 76g. Total weight with glass is 636g. GBP89.99

Here are 2 nice looking bottles, both by Samuel M Levi, one fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1922 and the other 1923. Taller one: some cracks to inside of neck. Minor knocks to silver. Small nibble to stopper bottom. Body fine. Smaller one: dents to silver, no neck cracks, body and stopper fine. Both of these are replacement stoppers but fit reasonably snugly and do the job.
