BULK JOB LOT OF 36x MOTHER OF PEARL CUTLERY – SILVER PLATED – ANTIQUE Item #57185
A quantity lot of mother of pearl handled cutlery & flatware including Victorian dessert knives and forks. These are all silver plated other than 1 steel bladed butter knife. Total of 36 pieces. These have not been polished. Various degrees of wear etc. 5 handles have obvious cracks but the pearl is still ‘intact’. SUPERB ELKINGTON ROLL-TOP BREAKFAST DISH / TUREEN – SILVER PLATED 1904 ANTIQUE Item #57189
A very fine and exceptional quality plating roll-top breakfast dish that doubles as a soup tureen, complete with its removable fat-drip tray and under pan. Made by Elkington in 1904. Lid top is monogrammed ‘MEJ’. Raised on paw and column feet, lovely ring handles supported by an ivy leaf drop detail and horizontal cones. Nicely part fluted lid. Exterior is absolutely gleaming silver, no dents. Fat-drip under pan has some minor wear and a few small underside dents, drip pan itself has some minor rim knocks. Interior of the tureen area is good with some minimal surface spots and scuffs from ladle use. GBP119.99

A vintage silver plated jam / preserve pot with thick red glass liner and a silver plated preserve spoon. English made. Overall gleaming silver, there is some slight wear to the plating to the pot body (not lid) but in normal lighting its not that noticeable. No damage to glass. GBP14.99

A probably Edwardian reproduction of a small Georgian Old Sheffield Plate tea caddy. No engraving etc. Overall gleaming silver with some surface marks and some scouring type marks around the shoulders. One very small dent at shoulder, two pinhead sized tiny dents to body on a narrow side. A small area of wear to one side shoulder at its lid area. GBP21.99

GORGEOUS VICTORIAN LARGE 3 PIECE TEA SET SERVICE – SILVER PLATED Item #57194
A really stunning looking early electroplate 3 piece set by Roberts & Slater c. 1850 with deep repousse and bright cut detail. The photos do not do it justice. Quite a larger size too, the teapot takes 3 pints comfortably. Gilt wash to the interiors. Overall absolutely gleaming silver but with a small area of wear to each piece on one side panel (probably where a monogram or crest was erased at some stage) – it still looks fabulous though and doesn’t detract that much overall. No dents other than a tiny knock to underside of one teapot leg, pot has a very slight wobble on the flat. Interiors all fairly clean with a minor wear patch to the inside very base of the teapot.
