A vintage cased sterling silver hair brush & comb set made by Adie Bros and fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1925. Brush is monogrammed ‘BS’. In original E. Dobbie of Government Rd, Nairobi, B.E.A. (now Kenya). Brush is good with no dents, bristles in good order. Comb is missing one of its teeth. A sterling silver larger sized pepper pot and matching salt pot with blue glass liner Pepper pot is fully hallmarked for London 1908, makers marks rubbed, salt pot hallmarks are very rubbed. Both pieces monogrammed with a single initial ‘S’ to one side only. Also comes with a good salt spoon by Martin Hall & Co, Sheffield 1909 (no monograms). Pepper pot: Some very small shallow body knocks. Salt pot: good but hallmarks rubbed. Some salt related tarnish to interior base but hidden by the liner obviously. Liner fine with a minor interior base flaw (not a crack or chip) probably from when it was made.. Spoon fine with marks from use. Total silver weight is 102g. Total including glass liner is 138g. GBP69.99

HOBNAIL CUT GLASS STERLING SILVER PERFUME SCENT & SMELLING SALTS BOTTLES Item #57142
A hobnail cut glass smelling salts bottle with its original stopper, hallmarked silver rimmed (marks rubbed), together with a cylindrical hobnail cut glass small scent bottle with sterling silver lid fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1909. Smelling salts bottle: looks fine from exterior. The inside neck has a crack area but all intact, at this area s small area of the inside of the silver collar is missing. Stopper is good and fits tightly with a ‘twist’ action. Hallmarks are fairly rubbed. Perfume bottle: glass good, some slight residue to interior. Silver lid has overall gentle knocks. Lid screws tightly to the glass. GBP39.99

They come with 2 similar elephant finial Indian spoons, one made with a silver 2 annas coin as its bowl. Both of the dishes are fine with some minor tarnish related marks to interiors. Spoons good. A sterling silver pepper pot on hoofed feet, fully hallmarked for Chester 1901 maker Nathan & Hayes. A couple of small dents to body and some general feint tarnish related marks, will lift a bit with some further attention. Lid finial spike is slightly kinked at top and probably historically resoldered to lid. Feet marginally awry. The Chester date letter is part rubbed to body but quite visible to lid. GBP27.99

A vintage 6 piece set by William Adams Ltd fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1957, the salt and mustard pots having removable ‘Bristol blue’ plastic liners. With 2 salt and 2 mustard spoons various dates and makers. Overall structurally good with just a pinhead sized dent to one pepper pot and one salt pot. There are some residual silver tarnish spots which should lift with some further attention. Spoons are replacements and various dates and makers, 2 quite lightly used, 2 average use marks. GEORGIAN STERLING SILVER HANOVERIAN STRAINING SIFTING LADLE – CRESTED Item #57171
A George III pierced bowl ladle in Hanoverian pattern, rear of handle bearing a double crest of a stags head and a dog on a leash. Hallmarks are part rubbed but appear to be London 1816 partial hallmarks. No dents, some surface marks and a slight ‘line’ to rear of handle at the top above the crested area – it is not a crack. There is a near invisible excellent historical repair to the stem about halfway down the handle that you would only realise if it was pointed out, just about visible as a very thin line front and back. GBP29.99

A fine early pierced bowl ladle by Solomon Hougham bearing partial hallmarks for London 1795. Bears a crest to handle with the Latin phrase ‘Deo Favente’ (with God’s favour) above a stag and the initials ‘JD’. Excellent for its age. Nice crisp hallmarks. GBP39.99

A good 4 piece set by Broadway & Co fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1984/1985, the ornate design incorporating the ‘Green Man’ and with scrolls and birds etc. All good. Comb has a slight bow and some of its teeth are a little out of perfect shape and have some surface digs at the finer end but all still intact. Case has some minor scuffs. GBP99.99

A nice small tapering deep cut glass scent bottle with its original glass stopper, the silver rim fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1905, together with another bottle of faceted cut form with original glass stopper and screw top lid fully hallmarked for London 1926. Deep cut glass one: glass overall good with some tiny fleabites and a very minor surface chip to underside. Stopper fine and fits as it should. Faceted one: glass fine, some minor residue to interior. Stopper fine and fits tightly. Lid ok with some surface marks but has no screw thread to its interior so probably a marriage. It looks fine on display and you wouldn’t know unless you took the lid off, its still fits reasonably snugly.. GBP39.99

One has a gilt washed bowl interior, the other does not but they are a pair. The one without gilt wash has a very slight bowl rim knock on one side but it is tiny in reality. GBP24.99
