Most are good, a few small gaps at handle joins with uppers to some, one fork has a small spot to its front of prong area and a little loose at its handle – a few ideally need re-setting / re-cementing. This really is a super set, never come across one before where the mother of pearl is riveted in panels to the solid handles. Lovely bright cut silver plated uppers. They have a fabulous weighty feel in the hand unlike the usual mother of pearl sets. Made by Deykin & Harrison. All fine with light use marks, no handle damage other than the tiniest of nibbles to one corner edge of a knife – its really nothing. The case interior has some slight marks and scuffs, exterior is in exceptional condition as has been kept in its original part cover probably all of its life! Has its key and lock works fine. A gorgeously cased pair of ornate silver plated fish servers with bright cut work and attractive handles. The case lid bears a presentation plaque dated 1884. Both absolutely gleaming silver. Main server has a couple of small patches of wear to rear side of blade and some slight wear to end of its handle. A slight gap to the fork handle join with its upper but still absolutely solid. Case is in overall lovely condition for age with some exterior scratches to the Moroccan leather and a label mark to interior lining. GBP34.99
